Most problems blamed on “material quality” start in the warehouse. A few simple rules prevent most of them.
Polyethylene granule is not strongly hygroscopic, but surface moisture turns to steam in the melt and produces bubbles, streaking and a drop in mechanical properties.
Three simple rules
- Keep bags on pallets, at least 10 cm clear of the floor.
- Use an opened bag within the same shift, or close it fully again.
- Keep material away from external warehouse walls — wall condensation is common at season change.
Why laminated packaging matters
The white laminated bag carries a moisture-barrier layer and also shields against light. On a sea shipment, where the consignment sits through weeks of temperature swing, that layer is the difference between sound material and a wet one.
